Sat in a stand for 9 1/2 hours this past November 2017 Pottawattamie County. I watched three younger bucks pushing does but knew there was a bigger one on the property. Persistance paid off around 4:40 that after noon. I heard him come up out of a creek bed. I saw the sun shining off his antlers about 90 yards away. Gave 4 grunt calls and he started heading my way. I was blessed to harvest my first buck October 7, 2017. With the help of my boyfriend and coming into Archery Field & Sports every week for about a month during the summer to practice, I felt confident shooting at this old bruiser.
